The Role

We seek a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher at Rocky Mountain Prep, you will work to identify the needs of each scholar, maintain a productive learning environment, and collaborate with colleagues to support each scholar's growth and development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and teaching daily student interventions, providing individualized instruction based on scholar needs in multiple content areas.
  • Tracking data daily to inform instructional needs and analyze scholar progress.
  • Collaborating with general education teachers, school leaders, service providers, and families to ensure instruction meets the needs of each learner.
  • Case managing IEPs, including FBAs, BIPs, and scheduling IEP meetings.
  • Creating and implementing IEPs and evaluations that meet CDE quality standards for Special Education.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree (any subject).
  • Current Colorado teaching license with a special education generalist and/or special education specialist endorsement(s).
  • Pass a background check.
  • Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred:

  • Minimum two years of lead teaching experience.
  • History of working with special needs populations.
  • Understanding of ABC data collection.
  • History of case management.
  • CPI/NCI Trained.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $62,000 to $96,800, depending on experience and level of education. Benefits include health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, retirement through PERA, and paid-time-off.
