Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our innovative team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and delivery of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) cabinets and associated electro-mechanical hardware components and subassemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system & quality requirements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing operations to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specifications.
  • Issue hardware design documentation such as cabinet layout drawings, cable/wiring schematics, and PCB layout/schematics for I&C products.
  • Manage Bill of Materials and revision control of design packages.
  • Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, testing and manufacturing of I&C hardware products.
  • Generate design, equipment, and requirements specifications for Main Control Room hardware.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design.
  • Awareness of typical industry standard drawings including P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, schematics, cabinet drawings and panel layouts.
  • Awareness of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lab equipment use (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience in CAD/CAE (e.g. AutoCAD/Inventor) software is desired.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
