Position Overview:
The Outdoor Operations Associate plays a vital role in welcoming and assisting customers throughout the yard area. This position also involves overseeing the receipt and loading of products in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Fleet Farm's merchandise presentation standards are upheld in the yard and adjacent workspaces.
- Maintain seasonal relevance and proper security of displayed merchandise in the store.
- Oversee backroom locator accuracy within the yard area.
- Safeguard all yard merchandise by ensuring it is appropriately wrapped and stored to prevent weather-related damage.
- Accurately load merchandise into customers' vehicles while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in locating sale and promotional items to replenish stock during business hours as needed.
- Safely transport products throughout the facility using a forklift or other material handling equipment.
- Ensure lumber is culled according to company guidelines.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of product placement in the yard to effectively assist and guide customers.
- Keep car side pickup signage and cones organized in the yard.
- Promote Fleet Farm's customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives positively.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Capability to become certified in operating a forklift and other material handling devices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in a warehouse environment may involve exposure to temperature variations (hot/cold), noise, dust, and uneven surfaces.
