As a key member of the nursing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the Perioperative Services department, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director of Nursing to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient data, staff performance, and departmental metrics.
- New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State.
- Master's degree from an accredited program required or a projected graduation date within three years of position acceptance.
- M.S.N. preferred.
- Minimum of five years management experience or progressive leadership experience.
- Minimum of three years of PACU/ASU experience.
- Membership in ASPAN.
- BLS.
