We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Safety Officer to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Public Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol hospital grounds and buildings to prevent and detect crime
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, including altercations and medical emergencies
- Provide security and safety guidance to patients, visitors, and staff
- Enforce hospital policies and procedures related to safety and security
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and other agencies as needed
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Previous law enforcement, military, or security experience preferred
- Certifications in CPI, MOAB, Defensive Resources, and Restraint Certification required within 6 months
- Valid driver's license required
