Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support and troubleshooting for production incidents and critical system interfaces.
- Collaborate with the Incident Manager to identify and implement preventive and detective measures for applications.
- Ensure production system integrity and readiness of banking systems.
- Support the IT Planner in meeting project objectives and performing production transitions for new system launches and system change requests.
- Identify and propose process improvements for systems based on identified process gaps.
- Standardize processes through developing implementation, integration, and documentation in accordance with set standards.
- Identify and propose suitable processes for automation and implementation.
- Escalate risk issues to relevant parties in a timely manner.
- Participate in system restoration for Disaster Recovery exercises.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Strong work experience in the Application or System Support function, preferably in a bank or financial institution.
- Technical knowledge of applications hosted in both Windows and LINUX, with the ability to perform database queries (SQL Server, ORACLE) and handle application services under Windows Services and LINUX application services.
- Experience in supporting banking payment systems is advantageous.
- Good understanding and competency in scripting (such as DOS, UNIX or VBA).
