Travel Nurse Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Nurse to join our team at Epic Travel Staffing.
Job Summary:This is a 13-week assignment on the ME3 Pulmonary Unit at a reputable hospital. As a Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to patients with various medical conditions, including COPD, CHF, Pneumonia, Flu, Sepsis, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, and Post Covid.
- Work with Tele/drips/vents and high-oxygen requirements.
- Collaborate with Respiratory Therapist to care for trach, vents, bipaps, and other patients.
- Participate in team nursing and primary nursing models, depending on the unit's needs.
- Meet the requirements for patient ratios, which are targeted at 1:4 but can be up to 1:5-6.
- 1.5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Must have experience working on a Stepdown or PCU unit.
- Must have vent experience and EPIC experience.
- Must be able to read and interpret strips.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Some level 1 or 2 experience preferred.
- Travel experience preferred.

The ME3 Pulmonary Unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. The unit is trialing team nursing, where two nurses and a PCT partner together to care for a group of patients. The goal is to divide the work and not the patients, improving both the workload and patient care.
The patient population primarily consists of COPD, CHF, Pneumonia, Flu, Sepsis, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, and Post Covid. With the support of Respiratory Therapist, we care for trach, vents, bipaps, and high-oxygen requirements. We see insulin drips for both our DKA and DKA population as well as heparin Cardizem and sporadic other drips. Trach/vents on unit no orally intubated patients.
Navy Blue Scrubs are required. COVID-19 Vaccine is not required, but Flu Vaccine is required with medical/religious exemptions only.
Pay rate is estimated based on weekly gross income. Weekly gross pay based on qualifications and experience. Rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).
Estimated Weekly Rate: $2932 per week
