Job OverviewThe Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care in our community hospitals.
As an LVN, you will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and assist in carrying out patient care plans in accordance with state nurse practice acts and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safe, compassionate, and focused nursing care to assigned patients with predictable healthcare needs.
- Perform assigned responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality and safe patient care and excellent customer service.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of patient care that reflects the plan of care.
- Administer medications in accordance with organization policies.
- Report data to assist in the identification of problems and formulation of goals/outcomes and patient-centered plans of care in collaboration with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to required infection control, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques in the delivery of patient care.
- High School diploma or G.E.D and graduated from an approved licensed practical nurse/vocational nurse (LPN/LVN) program.
- Two years of relevant experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in an acute care setting.
- Current license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the state in which you practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, required.
