Dishroom Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dishwasher at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dishroom, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are washed and sanitized to the highest standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized dishroom, including washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Pre-rinse all items to be washed and load trays into the dishwasher.
• Remove dishes, silverware, and glassware from washer trays and stock kitchen personnel and servers.
• Wash pots and pans in the 3-compartment sink and air dry dishes and utensils.
• Keep all silverware out of the trash and maintain the cleanliness of your station and work areas.
• Perform side work during shift downtime, including rolling silverware, restocking condiment holders, and cleaning work areas.
• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to see at a distance, distinguish between shapes, and utilize peripheral vision to avoid hazards.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry trays of food products weighing about 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet.

Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and dish and cleaning chemicals. Must be able to fit through openings 30 inches wide and have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided.
