Job Title: Wire Transfer Specialist

Flushing Bank is seeking a highly skilled Wire Transfer Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our banking operations team, you will be responsible for processing daily incoming and outgoing domestic and international wire transfers, as well as performing end-of-day proof and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process daily incoming and outgoing wires, including monitoring the fraud control system for potential fraud suspects.
  • Prove incoming and outgoing wires daily, prepare and process general ledger entries, and ensure wire totals are in proof at the end of each day.
  • Process wire research/investigation requests, initiate fund tracers, and complete wire instruction amendments as needed.
  • Recall wires within specified guidelines and contact branches and/or back-office departments when wires are returned or duplicated.
  • Assist branch personnel and/or customers with inquiries and/or problems, research, resolve, and respond to same.
  • Assist in keeping the Wire system updated regarding customer Cash Management accounts, rates, ABA numbers, G/L numbers, templates, and other control file information.
  • Complete daily wire reports and assist customers via the telephone support line.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional accountabilities as needed.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Regulation E and UCC regulations governing Wire Transfers.
  • PC working knowledge, particularly word processing and spreadsheet applications (Word, Excel).
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
Pay and Benefits:

$54,000 - $57,000 per year, 37.50 hours per week. This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime if hours worked are over 40 hours.
