Piper Companies is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join their team in Portage, MI. As a key member of the research team, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting studies in accordance with scientific practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Principal Investigator/Study Director/Bioanalytical Monitor for both internal and external studies
• Develop and implement protocols, ensuring timely approval and adherence to regulatory requirements
• Maintain strong relationships with industry and scientific sponsors through effective communication and presentations
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in gene and cell therapy, applying this knowledge to drive research initiatives
• Prepare and review reports, SOPs, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a related field
• Proven expertise in PCR and gene therapy, with a strong understanding of GLPs and federal regulations
• Hold a PhD or Master's degree in a scientific-related discipline
