Role Summary:The Non-Invasive Cardiovascular RN plays a vital role in the care of cardiac patients across both outpatient and inpatient environments.
Key responsibilities encompass:
- Performing thorough pre-procedure evaluations.
- Assisting Cardiologists with diagnostic cardiac procedures, including Trans-Esophageal Echocardiograms (TEE's) and stress tests.
- Administering medications during and post-testing.
- Collaborating with the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department and advocating for cardiology services.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and possession of a valid RN license in Georgia.
- A minimum of 2 years of RN experience post-orientation.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within the first year of employment.
- Experience in medical-surgical or cardiac nursing.
- Ability to interpret cardiac arrhythmias proficiently. Candidates should verify specific clinical unit requirements for additional education or certifications.
