About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Supervisor. Job Summary

The Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for organizing, overseeing, and supervising assigned unit activities and staff assignments, demonstrating clinical expertise consistent with established standards of nursing practice. This role requires a strong leader who can identify and respond to patient needs, monitor and document vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and oversee unit activities and staff assignments
  • Identify and respond to patient needs
  • Monitor and document vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses
  • Administer medications and treatments as needed
  • Communicate and direct services to appropriate team members, residents, family, or medical staff
  • Identify and follow disciplinary action as stated in policy
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, physicians, and other vendors/services
  • Perform RN assessment to resident's post incidents or change in condition
  • Lead and direct emergency situations
  • Maintain accurate nursing report, staffing sheets, and census roster
Requirements
  • Current and good standing RN License in State of New York
  • Previous experience with geriatric/short term rehabilitation/Alzheimer's patients is desirable
  • Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents
  • Have patience and willingness to assist any residents and co-workers
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organization skills
  • Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff
  • Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated
