We are seeking a highly skilled Histotechnologist to join our Anatomical Pathology Lab team at OU Health. As a Histotechnologist, you will play a critical role in preparing human tissues for microscopic examination and interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and process tissue specimens from clinical services and autopsy suite, ensuring accurate labeling and accessioning.
- Assist pathologists in gross dissection and submission of tissue for histology examination.
- Perform routine and special staining techniques on histology sections.
- Embed and section tissue, mounting slides for examination.
- Associates degree in Histology or Natural Sciences required.
- 1 or more years of related experience preferred.
- Ability to work with precision and care, ensuring accuracy and efficiency under pressure.
- Knowledge of histology section preparation, including tissue processing and special staining procedures.
