Multisystemic Therapist (MST)

Position Overview

Are you dedicated to making a transformative difference in the lives of families? At Savio, we are committed to utilizing the evidence-based Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Model to support adolescents facing challenges in their home and community environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage caregivers and other significant participants in proactive, change-focused treatment by identifying and addressing obstacles to progress.
  • Foster development within the entire family unit to empower them to resolve their own challenges.
  • Collaborate with families, allowing them to take the initiative in establishing treatment objectives.
  • Support youth in remaining in their homes, reducing safety risks and preventing further legal issues.
MST Model Training:
  • The MST treatment model serves as an ecological therapeutic intervention for youth aged 12-17 exhibiting high-risk behaviors, including substance use, running away, and school absenteeism.
  • MST therapists work closely with families, youth, and other critical members of their support system to empower families to tackle difficult behaviors and achieve lasting change.
  • Maintain a manageable caseload of 4-6 families.
Professional Development Opportunities:
  • Receive comprehensive training and support to implement the MST model with high fidelity.
  • Access clinical supervision hours and various professional development resources.
  • Participate in weekly case consultations with supervisors, team members, and expert consultants.
  • Engage in quarterly MST training to enhance and maintain your competency.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate flexibility and self-motivation.
  • Understand the significance of social systems and a youth's environment on their development and behaviors.
  • Exhibit a passion for working with parents of adolescents facing behavioral challenges.
  • Be comfortable providing in-home therapy and adapting to a non-traditional work schedule.
Compensation:

Starting with candidacy (LPCC, SWC, MFTC): $57,000
Starting Licensed (LCSW, LPC, LMFT): $60,000
Starting MA Bilingual: $65,000

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field with relevant experience.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
  • DORA registration to provide therapy, such as LPCC, MFTC, SWC.
