Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate anatomical orientation and proper file identification on all images
  • Operate mammographic equipment with precision and maintain quality standards
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including greeting patients, obtaining history, and entering information in our computer system
  • Obtain mammographic images according to established guidelines
  • Maintain accurate logs and process paperwork for biopsies
  • Utilize sterile techniques to prevent contamination and maintain a clean examination environment
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality
  • Assist in the completion of the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years
  • Provide coverage as needed and assist in the training of new hires
  • Provide a positive patient experience by sharing information and ensuring follow-up steps are taken
  • Maintain effective communication with radiologists, patients, and other medical staff

Requirements:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) (M) certification
  • Diagnostic Mammography certification
  • Experience with electronic medical records

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine
  • 1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist
  • EPIC EMR experience

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Able to lift patients weighing up to pounds and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation
  • Correctable vision to 20/20 for equipment operation and reviewing developed films

New York Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and more. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
