Position Overview:


The role involves providing care to patients who have undergone assessments by a licensed Physical Therapist across various environments, including Acute Care and Outpatient facilities.

The Assistant's responsibilities do not encompass the interpretation of referrals, conducting evaluations, or making significant alterations to treatment plans.

All patient care services must align with North Carolina regulations and adhere to the directives established by the Medical staff.

Qualifications:

Essential:
An Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution for Physical Therapy Assistants.

Position Requirements: Valid License/Certification/Registration

Essential:
Must possess an active North Carolina license as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be completed prior to assignment and maintained thereafter.

The employee is expected to exhibit the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver care suitable for patients experiencing impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or alterations in physical function and health status due to injury, illness, or other factors.

The employee is required to engage in team discussions and contribute to discharge planning.

Compliance with the standards set forth by the American Physical Therapy Association regarding treatment protocols and professional ethics is mandatory.

The employee must adhere to the guidelines outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
