Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join our team at American Packaging Corporation. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting
    • Manage daily accounting functions and financial reporting in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements
    • Review and prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Assist with budget and forecasting activities for corporate and business units
    • Prepare corporate division budget and forecast, including analysis of historical trends and estimates
    • Own variances to budget and report to senior leadership
  • Audit and Compliance
    • Lead and prepare year-end financial statement audit, including coordination with external auditors
    • Coordinate activities for other periodic audits and reports
  • Finance IT Applications
    • Own and coordinate with IT support to add new General Ledger accounts and update financial reporting templates
    • Support ERP and bolt-on financial product implementations
  • Cash and Accounts Management
    • Reconcile payroll accounts and manage corporate credit cards
    • Own daily cash balances, approval of ACHs/Wires, and monthly cash projection consolidation
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 3+ years of experience in finance/accounting role
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Effective communication and time management skills
    • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Competent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to handle confidential information
    • ERP knowledge and experience with large data sets
