About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at the Gramercy Theatre. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, staff, and performers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the venue to identify and mitigate potential security risks
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to any security incidents or alarms
  • Screen guests and staff for prohibited items and ensure compliance with venue policies
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest inquiries and concerns
  • Collaborate with other security personnel to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Participate in emergency response and evacuation procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 years of experience in a security or law enforcement role
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Active NYS Security License required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual or multilingual
  • Experience working in a live event or entertainment venue
  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • First aid or medical training
