Lifeguard Specialist

Centers, LLC is a professional management firm specializing in facility, operation, and program management for higher education. We are seeking a highly skilled Lifeguard Specialist to join our team.

• Prevent and respond to emergency situations in a timely and effective manner.
• Identify and report any malfunctions or irregularities of equipment or facility to ensure a safe environment.
• Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-service training to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
• Enforce all rules and regulations to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, faculty, and staff.
• Lifeguard according to Facility, State Code, and Lifeguard Training standards to ensure the highest level of safety.
• Supervise the proper use of swimming pools and supporting facilities to prevent accidents.
• Maintain current certifications in lifeguard training, First Aid for the professional rescuer, and CPR for the professional rescuer.
• Perform pool maintenance duties as assigned to ensure the pool is safe and well-maintained.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Current American Red Cross, Ellis, YMCA, or equivalent Lifeguard Training certification is required.
• First Aid, AED, and CPR-PR certifications are required.
• Previous lifeguard experience is preferred.
• Water Safety Instructor or Lifeguard Instructor certifications are preferred.

• Basic computer competency.
• Ability to perform all Lifeguard skills as required by American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Program.
• Successful completion of skills tests in swimming, rescue, and other areas as determined by the facility.

• Pool environment with moderate to loud noise.
• Physical conditioning is required to perform the duties of the job.
