Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at our Destrehan, LA grain processing facility. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting in the scheduling of operations for the hourly staff, communicating operational procedures to the hourly workforce, and ensuring all colleagues are conducting operations safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in scheduling of operations for the hourly staff
  • Communicate operational procedures to the hourly workforce
  • Implement and enforce company programs, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure all colleagues are conducting operations safely and efficiently
  • Contribute to the development of goals and operational procedures for the department and plant
  • Perform daily facility walkthroughs and supervise hourly work staff on the daily progress
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly inspections and document results on computer-based programs
  • Train colleagues to become proficient at jobs and tasks at the facility and sign off on performance qualifications
  • Coordinate with Shift Supervisor and Grain Superintendent to develop a safe and efficient daily work plan for hourly staff on a shift basis
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dedication to ADM's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture
  • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position
  • Willing to work rotating swing shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting
  • Exhibit a professional image at all times
  • General computer knowledge
  • Excellent oral/communication skills
  • Leadership characteristics
  • Able to obtain and possess a valid Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC card)
