About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Back End Software Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, efficient, and secure software systems using latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to improve software development processes.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in software development using basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in software engineering or 7+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD Approved 8570 Information Assurance Technician Level II (IAT-II) Certification, including CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.
  • Certified Secure Software Life Cycle Professional (CSSLP) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with programming languages, including Ruby, Python, C#, Java, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with working on multiple OS platforms, including Linux and Windows.
  • DoD Approved 8570 Information Assurance Technician Level III (IAT-III) Certification, including CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, and CCSP.
  • Army Approved 8570 Computer Environment Certification for Windows or Linux.

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193, annualized USD.
