Position Overview:Please note that Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this role. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
This role involves overseeing projects from conception through execution. You will manage all facets of the project throughout its lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery. You will lead project teams to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and alignment with business objectives. You will proactively identify and escalate risks and issues that may impact customers during daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams. Oversee all elements of each project. Guide project teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion that meets business requirements.
- Assemble and coordinate project teams. Define roles and responsibilities for all project participants. Ensure project progress is monitored and team members provide regular updates.
- Facilitate business requirements analysis. Manage project scopes, challenges, and risks. Ensure that change controls are implemented effectively. Estimate workloads and allocate resources appropriately.
- Record meeting agendas, minutes, action items, project plans, and issue logs. Communicate project statuses to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify, candidates should possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in fields such as Arts, Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, Social Services, or Continuous Improvement.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Project Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Risk Management, Continuous Improvement, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or related fields.
- Alternatively, 8 years of relevant experience in Project Management, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or similar areas may substitute for formal education.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Over 8 years of experience in Project Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Risk Management, Continuous Improvement, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or related fields.
- Familiarity with Agile and/or Kanban methodologies.
- PMP certification.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position typically falls between $88,500.00 and $149,000. Additional incentives may be included as part of a competitive total compensation package. Various factors, including geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level, may influence the compensation for this role.Benefits:
