We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Ansible Government Solutions, LLC. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in supporting operations at The San Francisco VA Medical Center.
Job SummaryThe selected candidate will be responsible for performing all aspects of cardiac ultrasonography, including echocardiograms, and communicating abnormal results to the responsible cardiologist. You will work closely with our team to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Provide expert knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal cardiac anatomy and pathophysiology.
- Analyze echocardiograms to detect abnormalities of LV wall motion and overall cardiac function.
- Understand the indications for using echocardiographic contrast and administer it according to VA protocol.
- Determine the necessary measurements for regurgitant lesions and obtain good quality images.
- Maintain adequate supplies and equipment for the Echocardiography Laboratory.
- Stay up-to-date with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with employees at varying levels.
- Provide staff development and training as needed.
- Completion of a formal training program in dysrhythmia recognition and certification prior to performing cardiac Contract Monitor Technician services.
- Active BLS certification.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to waist and 20 lbs. You will also be required to carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance and push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
