Premium Auditor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Premium Auditor to join our Commercial Lines department. As a Premium Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits of Commercial Lines policies to ensure compliance with company, industry, and government rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of policyholder records to identify exposures to coverage provided.
  • Verify employer classes, claimant information, tax identification numbers, and payroll for the audit period.
  • Document and process audits to explain deviations from prior audit results and changes in exposures.
  • Interact with policyholders and collaborate with Underwriting, Loss Prevention, and Workers' Compensation Claims teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles, Workers Compensation, General Liability, and premium audit procedures.
  • Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Insurance industry experience.
  • APA (Associate in Premium Auditing) or CIPA (Certified Insurance Premium Auditor) certification.
  • ARM (Associate in Risk Management) or CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter) certification.
