Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Technician to join our team at Skjodt-Barrett Foods. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our food product manufacturing process.
Job Summary:The Senior QA Technician will be responsible for implementing quality assurance programs, conducting quality control and testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work closely with our QA Supervisor and other team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct quality control and testing, including environmental monitoring, light monitoring, water sampling, air sampling, and nitrogen sampling.
- Perform and oversee testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Field external requests for sampling from customers, determining batch and timing.
- Analyze test results, identify trends, recommend corrective actions, maintain detailed documentation, and report on results.
- Conduct lab inventory, including determining and scheduling dates for recycling or destroying ingredients or products.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
- Assist in preparing for audits by regulatory agencies and customers.
- Experience in quality control or quality assurance in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of food safety requirements and completion of HACCP training and GFSI scheme training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with QA testing methods and tools, including sensory evaluation, microbiological testing, and chemical analysis.
