Department Insights:
· The Cardiac Rehabilitation program is a medically supervised initiative aimed at enhancing cardiovascular health following heart-related events or surgeries through tailored exercise and lifestyle changes. Similarly, our Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs significantly improve lung function, alleviate symptoms, and enhance the quality of life for individuals with chronic lung conditions or asthma. These programs encompass exercise sessions and educational resources regarding lung health.
Role Responsibilities:
· The Respiratory Therapist within the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation department will be tasked with assessing, treating, and educating both cardiac and pulmonary patients, along with their families. Key responsibilities include developing exercise prescriptions, monitoring patient responses to physical activity, and managing exercise progression in accordance with established clinical guidelines and industry standards.
Candidate Profile:
· Educational Background: Graduate from an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
· Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed by the NBRC.
· Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
· Skills: Must possess current knowledge and competency in intensive care and neonatal intensive care, including EKG, ABG, spirometry, and oximetry.
