Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Food Delivery Driver to join our team at US Foods, Inc.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading food distributor, delivering high-quality products to customers while providing exceptional customer service.

About the Role

As a Food Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck to deliver food products to customers in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be expected to:

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer and place them in designated storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • At least six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months of commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • The ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • The ability to read and communicate in the English language
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $31.25 and $33.25 per hour, depending on relevant experience and education. Additionally, you will receive overtime compensation and a retention bonus. The benefits package includes health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.

Location and Schedule

This role is based in Plymouth, MN, with a schedule that includes being off on Sundays and one weekday. Start times range between 1am and 6am, with 10-11 hour routes.
