We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Associate Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market – Philly Center City. Key Responsibilities- Store Layout and Merchandising: Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising strategies to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Sales and Labor Management: Work with the team leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and analyze sales reports and labor data to inform business decisions.
- Vendor Relationships: Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor connections, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
- Team Development: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel team members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
- Customer Service: Foster a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale, and maintain awareness of customer flows and needs to satisfy and delight customers.
- Performance Evaluations: Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations to support team member growth and development.
- Company Vision and Goals: Consistently communicate and model Whole Foods Market's vision and goals to drive business success.
- Experience: 18+ months retail team member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
- Skills: High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy; growth mindset towards greater responsibility and ownership; excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills; capable of teaching others in a positive and constructive manner; product knowledge; advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures; proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory; demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds; standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day; hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling; work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching; exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals; exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit; ability to work in a wet and cold environment; ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
