Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Local Class A CDL Driver to join our team. As a Local Class A CDL Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and distributing our products to our customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and distribute products to customers in a safe and timely manner
  • Operate standing seam, soffit, and gutter machines to produce metal panels for roofing and buildings
  • Represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner
  • Maintain and operate the vehicle in accordance with all laws and company policies
  • Ensure all loads are delivered safely, accurately, and timely to the correct address without damage to customer/company property
  • Take photos of each delivery/drop using an iPad
  • Receive work orders for jobs from team lead
  • Coordinate with Dispatch to meet job completion times
  • Use forklift or Moffett to handle heavy weight metal coils or materials
  • Change out machine rollers for different panel profiles
  • Travel to jobsites to run material on-site for customers
  • Report any accidents or damages immediately to Team Lead or office
  • Collect payment from customer/company site and deliver all payments to front office
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to company, OSHA, and DOT safety guidelines
Requirements
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Have an acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record
  • 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
  • Valid Medical Card
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in degrees of precision and control where damage could be considerable
  • Attention and care required to prevent injury to others when performing work
  • Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
