The Memorial Health University Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Pharmacist to join our team. As a critical care pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients across our intensive care units (ICUs).
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate drug distribution activities in areas under your supervision, including supervision of pharmacy technicians, order verification of medication orders, and resolution of medication-related problems.
- Perform pharmacy clinical activities, including providing pharmacokinetic consults, monitoring targeted drugs, antimicrobial therapy recommendations, and evaluating the appropriateness of drug therapy based on disease state, host factors, and cost-effectiveness.
- Serve as a source of drug information to medical and nursing staffs.
- Perform patient care unit inspections as required to meet regulatory requirements.
- Work to minimize errors in the medication use process by utilizing S.T.A.R. (Stop, Think, Act, and Review) and other error prevention techniques.
- Pharmacist licensure.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Critical Care Residency Training and/or ICU Pharmacist experience is strongly preferred.
