We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist I to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. As a Phlebotomist I, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the integrity of clinical specimens.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of clinical specimens, including labeling, packaging, and transportation to the laboratory.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate test results.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification in phlebotomy preferred, but not required.
- Previous laboratory experience or training in phlebotomy is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
