Nursing Supervisor, Registered Nurse (nonexempt)

Role Overview:
This position oversees the delivery of resident care by both licensed and non-licensed personnel within Continuing Care. The Nursing Supervisor ensures adherence to staffing and care standards during shifts and reviews medical documentation for compliance with regulations and nursing practices. Participation in the on-call process may be required.

Compensation:
Up to $60.00 per hour, commensurate with licensure and supervisory experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to:


- Conducting regular rounds through all Continuing Care neighborhoods (skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care) to guarantee the highest level of resident care.

- Monitoring and adjusting nursing staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage for resident care.

- Assisting in addressing resident and family concerns and grievances.

- Supporting clinical staff in assessing and managing changes in resident conditions.

- Reviewing resident medical records for completeness and compliance.

- Consulting with on-call providers as necessary.

- Aiding in the orientation and supervision of new nursing staff.

- Leading investigations into incidents such as injuries of unknown origin or medication errors.

- Completing required supervisory reports for the Director of Nursing.

- Directing nursing staff during emergency situations and providing necessary coaching and counseling.

- Conducting training and evaluations as needed.

- May fill in as a licensed nurse in various care settings as required.

- Participation in the clinical on-call rotation may be necessary.

  • Exceptional customer service and leadership qualities.

Education and Experience:
  • Registered Nurse graduate from an accredited institution; BSN preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and web applications.
  • Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of nursing experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings is required.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Language Skills:
  • Must possess the ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
