Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Programmer to join our team at the City of Clarksville. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational activities for youth, adults, and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate recreational programs and activities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive outreach program to attract potential program participants
- Communicate with registrants and address customer service issues
- Assist in publicizing events and programs
- Develop and maintain contact with various community groups, schools, and organizations
- Prepare, monitor, and track programming operating budget
- Solicit business sponsors, vendors, and donations as needed
- Maintain financial records and track program income and expenditures
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Four years of experience in Recreation Programming
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) designation preferred
Working Conditions
The work is medium work which requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to or constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
