Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Perdue Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding refrigeration, boiler, and compressed air equipment in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair refrigeration, boiler, and compressed air equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform Process Safety Management (PSM) and system overview to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular rounds to monitor equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adjust and calibrate equipment to meet established performance standards.
  • Read and interpret manufacturers' equipment manuals, PM sheets, and safety policies to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with a focus on refrigeration and boiler operations.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new skills.
  • Experience working with ammonia or Freon refrigeration systems, boiler operations, and compressed air.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Reading and analytical skills preferred.
Work Environment

As a Refrigeration Technician at Perdue Foods, you will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to wet and moist floors, temperatures ranging from 28°F to 100°F, and humidity levels up to 100%. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment and follow company OSHA safety procedures.
