Job Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection.
  • Repair and replace worn or damaged parts, and adjust functional parts for performance and clearances.
  • Test equipment performance and troubleshoot problems using meters and electrical test equipment.
  • Install power wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment, and connect and test power wires.
  • Diagnose and repair failed electrical equipment, including motors, wiring, PLC modules, and power supplies.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines in compliance with ISO regulations.
  • Follow all company safety rules and procedures, and maintain good housekeeping levels in the Maintenance department/work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Industrial Electricity or equivalent certification program, plus 5+ years' experience in manufacturing and facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to read wiring schematics and wiring diagrams, and determine material and replacement needs.
  • Ability to size and wire electrical circuits in accordance with the NEC and/or manufacturer's specification.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of power transmissions and components.
  • Ability to define problems by collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrated skills with power tools and welding equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic systems, electrical/electronic systems, and pneumatics.
  • PC skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Physical dexterity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to read and comprehend part drawings.
