Your Role as a Registered Nurse is crucial. You will be instrumental in Vitalant's mission to save lives by executing advanced clinical procedures, particularly therapeutic apheresis procedures such as stem cell, granulocyte, and lymphocyte collections, all under the guidance of a licensed physician.

Schedule: Day shifts (start times may vary), with some weekends and on-call rotation once trained.

As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Executing all trained procedures.
  • Processing therapeutic orders, coordinating necessary procedures, and contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of methodologies.
  • Conducting intraoperative procedures under physician supervision, monitoring patient blood loss, and assessing patient status related to apheresis.
  • Providing exceptional care to patients, along with education for patients, donors, and their families.
  • Delivering therapeutic interventions or equivalent expertise, such as infusion, dialysis, or critical care.
  • Participating in paid training for apheresis.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Diploma from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Understanding of the rationale and techniques related to assigned duties is essential.
  • RN license in the state of practice is mandatory.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
