Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Polysomnography Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth Waterman Sleep Center. As a Polysomnography Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic polysomnographic testing and assessment-based therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform polysomnography procedures according to physician orders, department policy/procedure, and patient care plan.
- Assess and intervene to ensure patient comfort and safety during testing.
- Operate and maintain polysomnography equipment, including EEG, ECG, EMG, legs, snore mic, and thermistor equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and advancements.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Up to 1 Year of Experience
- Credentialed or certified with one or more of the following: American Academy of Sleep Medicine Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or Board of Registered Polysomnography Technologists- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- Associate's Degree or Graduate of a Technical School
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience
