We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to support the smooth operation of our dining facilities in the Early Childhood department. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient delivery of meals to students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify food deliveries, reporting any discrepancies or shortages
  • Assist in preparing and serving meals to students, ensuring a safe and clean environment
  • Deliver and serve meals to students, providing assistance as needed
  • Clean and maintain eating and storage areas, including ovens and refrigerators
  • Monitor students' activities and provide support as required


Requirements:

  • Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth school grade
  • Must be a parent of a child currently or formerly enrolled in our Prekindergarten Head Start Program


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to learn routine school procedures
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English
  • Capacity to follow simple written and oral instructions
  • Experience working with individuals or groups of children in school areas
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
