Position Overview:

The Family Medicine Physician will deliver clinical services at EPIC Health Center, acting as a Primary Care Provider for a designated patient panel and serving as a mentor for Mid-level Providers (APP's) such as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, along with various support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit extensive medical knowledge vital for the Primary Care role.
  • Demonstrate clinical proficiency in patient care delivery, including appropriate referrals, admissions, prescriptions, and ancillary orders.
  • Understand healthcare maintenance and acute care protocols for all age demographics.
  • Showcase strong written and verbal communication skills essential for the Primary Care Physician role.
  • Establish patient rapport and acceptance.
  • Document patient care information in a clear and complete manner.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in managing patient care, consulting as necessary, and supervising mid-level providers when required.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical/Health Records (EMR/EHR) systems, with preference for Allscripts.
  • Uphold professional responsibilities as a Primary Care Physician.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues across all departments.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and knowledge enhancement.
  • Engage in regular peer review meetings.
  • Maintain licensure and fulfill continuing education requirements.
  • Participate in relevant professional development programs.
  • Protect patient privacy rights.
  • Honor patient choices regarding their healthcare.
  • Integrate patients' social and cultural backgrounds into healthcare delivery.
  • Participate in team-oriented activities, including staff meetings and committees.
  • Achieve and maintain an acceptable productivity level.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree from an accredited institution. Board Certification or eligibility in the primary specialty is required.
  • Licensed to practice Medicine in Michigan, Board Certified in Family Medicine, and Credentialed at affiliated hospitals.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a primary care group practice or internal medicine is highly preferred.

Employment Type:

Full-time, typically Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 5 PM.

Permanent position with comprehensive benefits.
