Job Summary

The Director of Major Gifts will play a key role in securing financial support for Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to secure gifts from various sources. The Director will provide leadership and oversight for a team of gift officers, ensuring that the staff set and attain ambitious goals, develop effective fundraising strategies, and manage fundraising projects and initiatives developed by the President, Vice President, and Institute Administration.

Responsibilities
The Director of Major Gifts will be responsible for the following:
  • Recruiting, motivating, and developing a high-performing team of fundraisers
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising plan that includes Major Giving, Corporate and Foundation, and Leadership Annual Giving
  • Ensuring compliance with prospect management system guidelines and using the CRM database to track and forecast progress
  • Managing a personal major gift donor/prospect portfolio with a primary focus on securing gifts at or above the $100,000 level
  • Sustaining and elevating working relationships with administration, faculty, and departmental leaders across campus
  • Providing strategic planning, goal setting, resource allocation, leadership, and mentorship as a member of the Institutional Advancement Leadership Team
  • Ensuring departmental goals align with Institute priorities and participating in the budgeting process
