Nurse Care Specialist

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering quality care to patients in a correctional facility setting. As a key member of the healthcare team, the RN is responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, and developing individualized care plans. This position requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing medical procedures.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Possesses an active CPR certification.
- Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
