Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with cancer, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, other healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional status, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by oncologists, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient care and outcomes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in oncology nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Chemotherapy certification may be required, depending on the facility.
