About the Role

Gentiva Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Spiritual Care Specialist to join our team. As a Hospice Chaplain, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual support and care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide spiritual services and support to hospice patients and families, including counseling, prayer, and ministry.
  • Develop and implement spiritual care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Visit patients and families to assess their spiritual needs and provide direct support.
  • Participate in training and education programs to enhance spiritual care skills and knowledge.
  • Serve as a liaison and resource for community spiritual leaders and organizations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in theology, religion, human services, counseling, psychology, or sociology, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, theology, or divinity, or a related field (preferred).
  • One unit of Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE)-accredited CPE.
  • Two years of experience in spiritual care ministry or a related field, with demonstrated ability to work with patients, families, and community spiritual leaders.
