Job Summary

HealthPRO Heritage is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the clinical supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide direct resident care activities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Physical Therapy Treatments: Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to promote resident recovery and well-being.
  • Assist with Tests and Evaluations: Support the Physical Therapist in conducting tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures to assess resident needs.
  • Document Progress: Maintain accurate records of treatments and document progress notes on residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Assist with admission screening, consult with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the physical therapy department and equipment are well-maintained and safe for residents and staff.
  • Participate in Continuing Education: Access opportunities to maintain clinical currency and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Comply with Regulations: Adhere to Heritage Healthcare's regulatory and professional standards and guidelines.
  • Attend Team Meetings: Participate in rehabilitation team conferences to discuss resident progress, problems, or needs.
  • Perform Other Duties: Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Physical Therapist to ensure the smooth operation of the physical therapy department.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Licensure: Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the state of practice.
  • Experience: Prefer experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to understand and follow directions, and ability to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
