Airgas, Inc is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating and maintaining equipment for pumping and repackaging compressed and liquefied gases into cylinders.
  • Performing pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests to ensure cylinders meet safety and quality standards.
  • Regularly inspecting and maintaining pumping apparatus and associated monitoring devices to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Operate and maintain equipment for gas production, including pumps, valves, and monitoring devices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Perform quality control checks on gas cylinders to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and company procedures.

**Requirements**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field, such as gas production or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
