Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Ascension Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI.
About the Job
This is a full-time position that requires a commitment of 36 hours per week, with rotating night shifts. As a member of our ICU team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients and their families. About the Role
The ideal candidate will possess advanced life support certification from the American Heart Association, BLS certification, and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan. A minimum of one year of critical care experience is also required. Additionally, a degree in Nursing, preferably a Bachelor's degree, is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct and indirect patient care services to critically ill patients, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
- Clinical Decision Making: Use evidence-based clinical decision making to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Educational Support: Participate in ongoing educational activities to enhance knowledge and skills, ensuring continuous quality improvement.
- Professional Development: Engage in self-assessment, peer review, and continuing education to maintain competence and contribute to the development of others.
