Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in harvest processes including preparation, seed sampling, and unloading of trucks.
  • Execute various tasks related to plant, field, and warehouse operations, adapting to seasonal changes.
  • Monitor automated machinery for tasks such as harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packaging.
  • Conduct production activities including seed conditioning, treating, and packaging.
  • Oversee product returns and sorting processes.
  • Participate in field activities such as scouting and inspections, managing logistics effectively.
  • Utilize technology and computerized systems to carry out work tasks.
  • Perform warehouse duties including forklift operation and sample collection.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED or a commitment to obtain a GED within twelve months of employment.
Essential Skills:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, standing, and lifting up to fifty pounds.
  • Willingness to learn and work across various environments (field, plant, warehouse).
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient with technology and comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Commitment to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Possession of a valid US Driver's License.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, during peak production periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two-Year Technical or Associate's Degree in Agriculture, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • One year of experience in operations, manufacturing, or agriculture.
  • Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
  • General knowledge of agricultural equipment.
