Job Title: Part-time Lifeguard

We are seeking a part-time lifeguard to join our team at the Sierra Vista Aquatic Center. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform lifeguard duties, including monitoring the pool area and responding to emergencies
  • Responsible for numerous aquatic activities, such as lap swim, splash time, pool rentals, and special events
  • Perform various daily facility and pool maintenance tasks
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Must be able to obtain the following certifications within six months of hire: American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Administering Emergency Oxygen, and Water Park Certification
Working Conditions:

The Recreation Center is open from 0530-2000 and includes hours on Saturday and Sunday. Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
