We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Acute Rehabilitation team at Ascension Wisconsin. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide basic bedside care to patients, including administering medications and observing for adverse reactions.
- Contribute to patient assessment by collecting data for analysis by the RN.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and simple therapeutic services.
- Educate patients and families about disease treatment plans, including self-care post-discharge and available resources.
- Assure patient safety by identifying hazards and emergency situations and taking corrective action as needed.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credential from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing required.
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
- Previous experience in long-term care settings preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with peers and patients.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to fast-paced shifts.
